In order to do so, students are required to show the evidence of ability of completing the tasks within the requirements that have been outlined in the unit in the form of elements and performance criteria. They have to observe the behaviour of the children on at least 3 occasions so that they can create and then implement the effective plan which they have to develop on their own. Later they also have to measure the effectiveness of the implemented plan. Students are also required to develop both short – term as well as long – term goals along with objectives so that they can cast their path to the successful completion of the course. As part of the knowledge evidence, students are required to know about how to interpret the relevant framework and standard document in order to guide their work in this unit. They are also required to have the knowledge regarding the stage of development as age appropriate expectations of the behaviour of the children. Therefore, from the above discussion, it can be concluded that students who will take this course as their vocational course, are required to acquire both skills and knowledge regarding the subject of this unit through performance in terms of theoretical as well as practical practices.

This unit requires skills and knowledge which are required for supporting both the groups and individuals in developing cooperative behaviour. This unit is therefore applicable for the educators who are working in the education as well as care services. The skills that are relevant for this unit have to be according to the legislation of the Commonwealth and state territory. This unit required both elements and performance criteria. Elements can be defined as the essential outcomes whereas performance criteria can be defined as the level of performance which is required to demonstrate the achievement of the element in this unit. The elements include establishment and application of the guidelines and limits for behaviour, identification and reviewing of the behaviour as needed, development of a plan in order to guide behaviour of a particular child as needed and implementation and monitoring of a plan of behaviour. The first performance criterion for this unit is initiating the strategies that are consistent with the abilities of children in order to support the children for managing their own behaviour. The next performance criterion is establishment of the guidelines after consulting with families which are relevant to the background as well as the culture of the children. This criterion also includes establishment of policies for the required service. This unit includes several criteria which candidates have to fulfil in order to establish their achievement. These criteria are to be discussed in this section of the unit details. Students are required to develop the guidelines through collaborating with the children in accordance to their ability. Students are also required to decide how they must respond to the incidents within a stipulated period of time and they must know how to implement the responses clearly, calmly and consistently. Students are required to gather information from all the people who are involved in caring for the children. Candidates are also required to observe as well as analyse the behaviour for identifying the triggers plus consequences that maintain the behaviour. Candidates are required to scan the curriculum and the environment for the probable effect on behaviour. Students are also required to facilitate the analytical approach of the behaviour of the children with all who are involved un the caring for children. In this unit, students are required to seek advice from the appropriate authorities as needed. They are required to discuss incidents which cause from the concern form families and the colleagues as possible. Students are also required to include families as well as colleagues for discussing the options for response. They need to discus the concerns and needs of other children as well who can be affected by the behaviours of others. They are also required to identify the long – term as well as short – term objectives of the plan. They are also required to clearly identify more acceptable plus alternative behaviours. Location: - Australia Study level: - vocational Unit code: - CHCECE020

In this assessment, students will be evaluated based on their ability to clearly identify the acceptable and more alternative behaviours. They will be also assessed based on their ability to develop plan according to the philosophy of the service and policies of the service. Students will be also assessed based on their ability to develop goals of a plan which is consistent with the abilities, age plus developmental stage of children. They will be assessed based on their ability to ensure the realistic approach of the plan. they are expected to ensure the availability of the resources. Students are expected to establish a plan after consulting it with the colleagues, family others plus others who care for the children. Candidates are expected to ensure the consideration for the plan with the relevant cultural practices in order to respond to the behaviour. They have to provide support to the children so that they can understand the specific expectations regarding the behaviour of the children, students have to inform all them who are involved to implement and reinforce the plan including the rationale, limits plus strategies. As part of this assessment, students have to minimise the factors as far as possible which can lead to or can maintain inappropriate behaviour. In this assessment, students have to support the colleagues in implementing the plan consistently and effectively. In the assessment, students have to review the behaviour of the children against the plan so that they can modify when necessary after consulting with the family members, colleagues and others who care for the children.
